Public Hearing 1

Tazewell County will hold a public hearing on September 30, 2025 at 5:00pm at the Tazewell County Administrative Building on Main Street to solicit public input on the proposed construction of a leachate storage tank at the Tazewell County Landfill.

This project is being considered for funding assistance through the Community Development Block Grant–Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) Program, administered by the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD). The purpose of the project is to mitigate environmental and public health risks by improving leachate management and increasing community resilience to future natural disasters.

The public hearing will provide an opportunity for residents of Tazewell County to comment on the project’s design, potential impacts, and anticipated community benefits. All interested persons are encouraged to attend.
