Community Development Block Grant Funds (CDBG)
The Dickenson County Board of Supervisors will hold a hearing at 10:00am, on June 12th at the Dickenson County Center for Education and Research, 818 Happy Valley Dr, Clintwood, VA 24228, to solicit public input on a proposed Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) application to be submitted to the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development for the Clinchco Sewer Line Extension Phase II Project. Residents of the project area are encouraged to attend. The project will include the following activities: Sewer line replacement.
The draft CDBG proposal will be presented for comment along with information on projected beneficiaries, including the number of low-to-moderate-income residents to benefit from the proposed project, and plans to minimize displacement. Citizens will also be given the opportunity to comment on Dickenson County’s past use of CDBG funds. A fact sheet on the proposed project is available at the PSA’s office.
